We pray that the Order might receive new ener­gy and impe­tus to fol­low the exam­ple of Jesus Christ, prompt­ed also by reflec­tion on our iden­ti­ty and mis­sion fol­low­ing the revi­sion of the prop­er law of the Order

We trust that as the Capit­u­lars exam­ine their eval­u­a­tion of the life of the Order by lis­ten­ing to the var­i­ous reports pre­sent­ed dur­ing the assem­bly ses­sions, and from what they know from their own expe­ri­ences, they will devel­op a plan with its var­i­ous indi­vid­ual ele­ments that will allow us to focus our ener­gy and to recom­mit our­selves to the val­ues of our Fran­cis­can life.

Part of this plan is the var­i­ous top­ics that this Instru­men­tum Laboris con­tains. It con­sists of four parts:

1. Gen­er­al Statutes.
2. Spe­cial Motions.
3. Fran­cis­can Discipleship.
4. Ratio Stu­dio­rum.

The pro­pos­als have been pre­sent­ed in a sim­ple and uni­form man­ner to facil­i­tate the work of the Capitulars.
The Steer­ing Com­mit­tee can decide to pro­vide for a longer pre­sen­ta­tion of var­i­ous top­ics in the Chap­ter auditorium.
The Instru­men­tum Laboris is to be sent to the par­tic­i­pat­ing mem­bers of the Chap­ter before­hand so that they can study it.
