We pray that the Order might receive new energy and impetus to follow the example of Jesus Christ, prompted also by reflection on our identity and mission following the revision of the proper law of the Order
We trust that as the Capitulars examine their evaluation of the life of the Order by listening to the various reports presented during the assembly sessions, and from what they know from their own experiences, they will develop a plan with its various individual elements that will allow us to focus our energy and to recommit ourselves to the values of our Franciscan life.
Part of this plan is the various topics that this Instrumentum Laboris contains. It consists of four parts:
- General Statutes.
- Special Motions.
- Franciscan Discipleship.
- Ratio Studiorum.
The proposals have been presented in a simple and uniform manner to facilitate the work of the Capitulars.
The Steering Committee can decide to provide for a longer presentation of various topics in the Chapter auditorium.
The Instrumentum Laboris is to be sent to the participating members of the Chapter beforehand so that they can study it.
