The Chapter activities of this morning were characterized by the presentation of motions contained in the Instrumentum Laboris regarding the General Delegations, the Ratio Studiorum, managing the Finances of the Order, initial formation and the opportunity to create a General Secretariat for Youth-Vocational Ministry.

As always, their works were carried out in two phases: during the morning there was debate in the Chapter Hall followed by in depth study by the regional Coetuses; in the afternoon this order was inverted: the friars first worked in their regional Coetuses to then conclude the day’s schedule in the Chapter Hall, with voting on the motions that were already looked at.

Yesterday, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, was celebrated with the presence of some of our Conventual confreres which the Holy See has called to the Episcopacy.  Present were:

+ Fr. Gianfranco Agostino Gardin, Secretary CIVCSVA;
+ Fr. Gianfranco Girotti, Regent of the Apostolic Penitentiary;
+ Fr. Luigi D’Andrea, Bishop of Caxias do Maranhão (Brazil);
+ Fr. Błażej Kruszyłowicz, Auxiliary Bishop of Szczecin (Poland);
+ Fr. Berard Oshikawa, Bishop of Naha (Japan);
+ Fr. João Mamede Filho, Auxiliary Bishop of San Paolo (Brazil).
